Bentley Weekly Update 13/12/19

Christmas Productions and DVDsThank you to everyone for your support for this year’s Christmas productions. We will let you know as soon as DVDs are available to buy.

Christmas Dinner – Monday is the date for this year’s Christmas dinner. Children can wear Christmas jumpers if they would like to.

Wolves Wolves will be embarking on a new topic in the new year, looking at what life was like for their grandparents. Please do read the letter attached to the email sending out this newsletter as it has lots of exciting details about special days which include dressing up.

Library Books – Thank you to those children who have returned library books already, however, we are still missing a few. Please bring them in on Monday. Thank you.

Swimming Years 2-4 – There is no swimming next week. Swimming lessons will resume on Monday 13th January.

Parking (again!) – Thank you so much to those families of children in Adders who have been dropping off and collecting children from the memorial; it really has made a real difference with the parking and it is so nice to see the children walking to and from school together. It is still ever so busy outside the school though at drop off and pick up times and tempers have been frayed at times. Please remember we are all in in the same boat and a little bit of patience and giving way would have a big impact.

Family Assemblies It has been so lovely sharing the children’s achievements during family assemblies this term and we look forward to this weekly celebration being just as well supported next term (schedule for next term attached to the newsletter email). There has been a steady increase in the number of parents coming along each week and this really gives the children a boost! We would like to politely remind grown-ups that it can be difficult as a child to make yourself heard, particularly if grown-ups in the audience are talking. Please help encourage those children who are standing up at the front and speaking by giving them your full attention. Thank you.

Last Day of Term – Children are very welcome to bring in games to play on the last day of term. Please do not send in anything expensive or precious though, as we can’t guarantee there won’t be any accidental damage. Please do not send in electronic gaming devices. Children will be coming home with all their lovely Christmas decorations on Thursday; we do hope you enjoy them adorning your Christmassy homes. Please send in a named plastic bag.
