Adders to Copdock This Week!! – Important Information – Due to an event at Copdock this week, Adders will not be travelling to Copdock as planned. Instead Year 6 Foxes from Copdock will be coming over to Bentley on both Thursday and Friday 2nd and 3rd May.

The following week, the arrangement will run as follows: Adders to meet the mini-bus at the War Memorial at 8:45am (or make your own way to Copdock) on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May, this includes Year 5 on the Friday. We had previously planned to only take Year 6 on the Friday but with teaching arrangements as they are, we have now decided to take all Adders that Friday. If you have any questions about these arrangements, please contact the school office or speak to Mrs Robinson.

Farm and Country Fair – Hedgehogs travelled to Trinity Park this week to take part in the annual Schools’ Farm and Country fair. They had a fabulous time, despite getting a smidge soggy in the down pour. Pictures of the day will be put up in the gallery section of the website.

Prayer Space for Parents - Next Tuesday 30th April, the children will be participating in a pop-up prayer space outside (weather permitting!) to explore what our dreams for our school are.  We are beginning to explore our Christian Vision as a school and how this links to our school vision to become confident, successful and responsible.

If any parents would like to visit our prayer space between 2:30pm and 3pm on Tuesday, you will be able to have some quiet time reflecting on your dreams for our school too.  You can turn up on the day or email in to let me know you are coming.  If you would like your child(ren) to come to the prayer space with you, Mrs Rudge will need to know in advance that you are coming please, so that the children can come and show you what they have been doing earlier in the day.

Dinner Changes – On Tuesday 7th May, the day after the bank holiday, the menu will be the advertised menu for Monday, pizza or bean chilli with flapjack for dessert. The rest of the wekk will be as printed.

Lego Tokens – Next week is the final week of tokens in the EADT and Ipswich Star. There will be bonus tokens printed on Friday as well. If you have been saving the tokens, please bring them into school by 24th May at the latest please. A huge thank you to all those families who have been bringing in tokens already and also to other members of the community who have contributed a great number also. As a small school we struggle to collect enough tokens for things like this so your support is so, so important. Thank you.

Wolves Class Reminders - PE is a Wednesday, keyword packets need to be in bags on a Tuesday (Rec, Y1, Y2), Year 1 phonics packs in bags on a Thursday (read the lists instead of spelling tests), Year 2 SATs homework in by a Thursday please for next 3 weeks, reading diaries in bags on a Friday for checking for 5 reads (all children) and reading book and reading diaries to stay in bags everyday please.

Chicken Crew – Chicken Crew would like to thank everyone who supported their Pyjama Day today; a grand total of £55 was raised for the upkeep of the chickens. We will need to move the chickens very soon and are hoping to get as many parents / family members to help us as possible, to clear the area before the new gym equipment is installed. We are potentially looking at Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th May. If you are able to help at all during either of these days, please email in so we can get an idea of people’s availability.

PTA Quiz Night – Tickets for this ‘adults only’ event on Friday 10th May, are available from Aimee for just £5. There will be at least one staff team, come and take them on if you’re brave enough! ;-)

Bentley School's Christian Ethos
