Bentley Weekly Update 27/09/18
All Children – If your child would like a cake tomorrow during the MacMillan coffee and cake fundraiser, they need to bring their 50p in tomorrow morning! That way we will make sure we set aside a cake for each child who has contributed to this wonderful charity. Please bring cake donations and entries for the cake competition in the morning also; there will be a prize for the best large cake and the best set of small cakes.
Wolves – There is a fun, FREE phonics workshop for Wolves parents on Monday 8th October 2-3pm. Please email the office if you would like to attend.
Hedgehogs – we have had a super start to the year. All the children have log-ins for Times table Rockstars and Spelling Shed, please encourage them to have a go on these websites at home. Out topic for this term is ‘rain forests’. Thank you for those of you who have encouraged the children to do some research at home.
Adders – there is a blog on the school website that the children need to log in and comment on (parents too!) before we leave for Kingswood on Monday. Mrs Robinson will be blogging every day of the residential and these can be accessed by clicking on the ‘School Blogs’ tab at the top of the homepage. Parents / Guardians will need to log on to be able to leave comments. If you cannot remember your log in details for the website, please get in touch with the school office.
Years 4 and 5 – Please read the email that was sent out about the jazz concert on the 12th October. We need an email back to confirm your acknowledgement and £2 per child contribution to transport by next Friday, 5th October.
Year 6 – Please read the email that was sent out about the Year 6 Science Day on the 12th October. We need an email back to confirm your acknowledgement and that you understand that your child will need a packed lunch on the day.
Race Night – There are still tickets available for the PTA Race Night that is being held on Saturday 6th October. Please see Aimee (Molly, Hugo and Poppy’s Mum) for more details. It is a fun night with the chance of winning some money.
Baptist Church Visit – Wolves and Hedgehogs (and Adders not going to Kingswood) will be walking to the Baptist Church on Wednesday to take part in their Harvest celebrations. We are very conscious that you have already contributed the Harvest at our church, and please don’t feel obligated, but if you would like to donate any non-perishable goods to the Baptist Church’s Harvest collection, please send them in on Wednesday morning.
