Words of The Week

Rec – ‘fast’ and ‘loud’

Yr1/2 - ‘communicate’ and ‘contribute’

Hedgehogs – ‘blustery’ and ‘yule’

Adders – ‘exquisite’ and ‘bewildered’

Hedgehogs and Adders Music and Lyrics – All the words and backing tracks for KS2 children to practice for the Extravaganza can be found on the website on a special page under the news and letters tab. The page is password protected due to copyright on the music; the password is Christmas.

Wolves Words – Please help your child to learn all their words for the Christmas play over the weekend (apart from the narrators). It will be scripts down next week. Thank you.

Tree Service – We hope to see lots of you at the tree service on Monday. It will take place at 2:45pm, do come along if you can.

Christingle This Sunday – Don’t forget, it is the Christingle at St Mary’s Church this weekend. We have had a great response and look forward to seeing as many children from the school there as possible. It starts at 10am.

Follow The Star to St Mary’s Church - Not to be missed is this year’s theme at St. Mary’s Bentley! There are thousands of lights, a forest, a village scene and two water features, as well as Christmas Carols played from the tower. The focal point will be the star over the manger. Parking and refreshments are available. Don’t miss this best decorated church in Suffolk - It’s truly amazing. Open Saturdays 7th and 14th December 11.00 am to 3.00pm and Sundays 8th and 15th December 1.00pm to 3.30 pm.

Christmas Dinner – Don’t forget to let us know by Monday 9th December if your child would like a Christmas Dinner this year. If we do not hear from you by this date, we will assume that you will be providing a packed lunch on the day. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ORDER A MEAL ON THE DAY.

Performance Tickets – Thank you to those families who have got their requests in already; if you haven’t replied yet, please let us know 3rd December (this coming Tuesday) how many you would ideally like. If we do not hear from you, we will assume you do not want any tickets.

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary Assembly – We are very excited about a visit next week from Suffolk Owl Sanctuary. They will be holding a special assembly for all the children on Wednesday.

Non-Uniform Day – Just a quick reminder that your child has the option of coming in to school in non-uniform on Friday, in exchange for a donation for the tombola.

Adders Singing – The children in Adders class will be walking up to the Case is Altered pub on Thursday to sing to the seniors at their annual Christmas lunch there. We will be back well before the end of the day.

PE Kits – Please may we remind you that PE kits need to be in everyday, they only need to be taken home at half term for washing. Thank you.

MOBS Drinks – On the last day of term, 19th Dec, the Mums of Bentley will be having the annual Christmas drinks at the Case is Altered pub from 7:30pm. Do come along if you can, even if it is just for one!
