NEXT WEEK:

Science Day:  On Tuesday, year 6 pupils will be transported to EBHS for a forensic science day.  They will all need to bring a packed lunch with them on the day.  There are no special arrangements re timings for this event.

Phonic Workshop:  Mr Ross is looking forward to welcoming Foundation Parents on Tuesday 15th October at 2pm for a Phonics Parent Workshop.  For more details, please see the email sent home on 1st October.

Crumble Taster:  Foxes are out again on Wednesday with a visit to BT at Adastral Park for a Crumble Robot Taster Day.  Children will need a packed lunch and water bottle.  The children will leave school just after registration, however, they will not return until about 3:30pm assuming the traffic is flowing smoothly.  Uniform needs to be worn.

PTA AGM:  We heartily invite ALL parents and friends of the school to attend the PTA AGM on Thursday evening at 7:30pm in the school hall.  It’s a great opportunity to find out how the PTA support the school and how you can be a part of that.  Please come along and support our PTA.

OTHER ITEMS:

  • You may find over the next few weeks that you are no longer receiving emails, or that they are going to a different email address to normal.  This is because we are in the process of updating our system with the information supplied on the DATA COLLECTION FORMS.  If you would like to receive emails to a specific address please ensure this is on the forms.  If you have yet to complete your forms, please do so urgently.
  • Following our FENCING WORKSHOPS during Activity Week, FitFence have sent a survey to us for parents to complete – we have added this to the website, and included it on the weekly news email.  Please take a look.
  • The next FOUNDATION SHARED LEARNING SESSION will be on Friday 8th November – more details to follow.
  • Please keep sending in your BOTTLE TOPS AND ECO BRICKS.  If you have an excess of 2 litre bottles please bring them in to be shared amongst other children to build some eco bricks.
  • As we had to postpone the FLU IMMUNISATIONS last week, we have managed to reschedule for 10th January.  The nursing team have asked us to reassure parents that despite rumours, there is no shortage of vaccines and every eligible child will be able to be immunised against flu.  Please ensure you have registered your child via https://tinyurl.com/yyoqj2hx this is to give consent and also to withdraw consent if you so wish.
  • Foxes have started looking at their RECYCLING topic through the story of a discarded plastic bag.  We desperately need plastic bottle tops, especially from drinks bottles.  If you can help with sending these in, we would be very grateful.  We will also need throw away carrier bags if they are clean and of no further use at home
  • SCHOOL COUNCIL UPDATE
This week we have been talking about the ANTI-BULLYING POLICY and checking it is up to date.  We will share this with everyone else in our School Council assembly next week to see if everyone agrees with it.
Next Thursday there will be a special SCHOOL COUNCIL SHOP and children can bring up to £2 to spend in the shop.
