Letter from Headteacher

Welcome to the Partnership of Bentley Church of England and Copdock Community Primary Schools.

This website contains useful information about our small, friendly schools. We are proud of our schools and value the strong community links we have both locally and further afield. We regularly visit our local churches, St Mary’s in Bentley and St Peter's in Copdock, for celebrations and activities which support our curriculum experiences throughout the year.

We believe that every child can be confident, successful and responsible, making appropriate choices about how they learn. In close partnership with parents, we promote the development of important key skills and values, encouraging application in all aspects of daily life. Our excellent provision in both schools has been recognised by Ofsted with a good and outstanding judgements for all aspects of school life.

The school’s ethos is well communicated, and values such as respect, trust and compassion are upheld by pupils and staff alike. Leaders provide strong and effective leadership that is focused on their desire to provide pupils with the best possible opportunities.

Our federation has enabled us to work closely to improve provision for our children in both schools. With one Head Teacher, responsible for leading two small schools, we have promoted the sharing of resources and experiences, developed joint initiatives, trips and sports events and supported each other in our learning journeys.

All leaders work effectively as a team across the federation. This has enhanced the expertise, knowledge and effectiveness of staff to ensure continuous improvement and the best possible outcomes for pupils.

Our Christian Ethos

We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be… confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens … who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always." Matthew 28:20
