Welcome to the third week of the first half of the Autumn Term 2023.

Our PE day this week is MONDAY.  As Joe White is not in this week, there will be NO PE on Tuesday.  Please come dressed in your uniform.

THURSDAY: Harvest Festival at the church.  You will need to be dropped off at the church before 8.45am and we will walk back to school afterwards.  Parents/carers are welcome to attend.

FRIDAY: MacMillan Coffee Afternoon instead of Family Assembly.

The learning behaviour this week is 'Work Hard' and our value this half term is 'Thankfulness'.  Our words of the week are: 'arthropod' and 'primitive'.

This week's homework is:

  • Reading Comprehension - 'Evelyn Cheesman: Escaping the Web'. Read the information and then answer the questions in your homework books using full sentences.  Don't forget to use a black handwriting pen to write your answers.  
  • Maths - Y5: Numbers to a million; Y6: Numbers to 10 million..
  • Begin to practise the first column of the Y5/6 (or next 10 of the Y3/4) words on Spelling Shed.  
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your Log Book.  Ask a grown up to sign your book.
