Federation

Who are we?

Bentley Church of England VC Primary and Copdock Primary Schools are part of a federation located in Suffolk, where we share a Headteacher, Mrs J Austin and have one Governing Body.

We share the same values, face similar issues and are geographically close enough to support and challenge each other.

We recognise, however, the unique characteristics of each of our communities we work in and how they are reflected in distinctive school cultures.  We encourage cultural diversity, celebrate the special qualities of each school and recognise that communities must grow and develop to become sustainable.

Our schools plan many activities jointly, but we have separate finances to support our individual priorities.  We aim to share good practice and resources across the two schools as we provide the children with a creative approach to their learning.

At Bentley and Copdock Primary Schools, we promote high aspirations for every child, cultivating a love of learning within a friendly, supportive and challenging school environments.

As small schools we have the privilege of getting to know each pupil as an individual, enabling us to guide and support them throughout their learning journey resulting in high levels of personal achievement.

Working in Partnership since 2010, our schools share a range of expertise, resources and experiences, enhancing provision and opportunities for both staff and pupils.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
