Date: 13th May 2020 @ 3:04pm

Good morning everyone!  Day four of week four of this half term!

This is the learning that I would like you to complete today:

  • Arithmetic Test 24 OR 15 minutes TT Rockstars.
  • Reading – Y5 + ED/FD/IF: ‘To Whoever Finds This’ and Y6: ‘Rosalind Franklin and Francis Crick’ Reading Comprehension in your printed pack.  Please answer in full sentences.  You have the answers in your pack.
  • Maths – Y5: Continue with Consolidation Activities from your printed pack; Y6: Continue with Algebra activities in your printed pack details of these activities are on Monday’s blog;
  • Maths – ED/LW/FD/IF/JL: Classroom Secrets sheets – Geometry: Properties of Shapes.  Today and tomorrow, you need to complete the Extension/Homework and Discussion Problems (JL, you don’t have these) sheets for the last three topics covered this week: ‘Identify Angles’, ‘Compare and Order Angles’ and ‘Triangles’.
  • Writing – Is there someone in your family who is a hero/heroine to you? Find out lots about them and create an information report/biography about your chosen hero/heroine. Why not interview that person using Zoom or FaceTime and include some direct quotes from the interview?
  • Science – Nature vs Nurture:  Talk to your parents about your appearance, your personality and your dreams for the future. How much of this do you believe is determined by your genes? How much of this is determined by your family/upbringing? We looked at this in the Autumn Term, looking at different characteristics.  Decide which traits are due to nature and which traits are due to nurture e.g. hobbies and interests or sense of humour. Try this out on other family members. You could write your results on the grid in your pack.
  • Physical Exercise – any activity that is going to give you 60 minutes of exercise.

Have a good day Adders and don’t forget to email me your learning and upload your photos to the Discussion on the website.
