Bentley Weekly Update 07/12/18

Library Books – Please could all children in Wolves return their library books by next Friday, 14th December please. Thank you.

Christmas Dinner – Children are invited to wear Christmas jumpers if they would like to, rather than school jumpers, on the day of the Christmas dinner, 12th December. The rest of the uniform must be worn though.

Christmas Plays – Important – Please be aware that the Hedgehogs and Adders production of Wind in the Willows will be running for longer than the 45 minutes we first anticipated. This means that on Monday and Tuesday next week, we anticipate them finishing at around 3:30pm rather than 3:15pm. Wolves class will be out at normal time.

For the evening performances on Tuesday, we need Wolves children to arrive at 5:40pm please, in order for them to get changed and be ready to start promptly at 6pm. Hedgehogs and Adders need to arrive at 6:25pm please to get ready. If you have children in both productions, please drop them all at 5:40pm; there will be a crèche running for siblings during each performance.

Finally, please continue to practise lines and songs over the weekend. Thank you to all the parents / carers who have supported the children at home to learn all the words.

Bypass Nursery and Village Hall singing – There is no need to wear uniform for these performances but a Christmas hat or jumper would be super. Please see the email from Mrs Austin with further details about tonight’s performance.

Homework – Hedgehogs and Adders, continue to learn challenge words ready for assessment next term. Wolves – no homework this week.

Christmas Fayre Update – A massive thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Christmas Fayre. The School Council made a staggering £350 profit from their stalls and the PTA made a further £330 profit on theirs!!! That’s pretty amazing for a small school. Well done all!

Brain Sticker Treat – This term’s brain sticker treat, for all children who have got 15 or more brain stickers, will be on Monday 17th December

And Finally…. One of our pupils, Laura, will be on Heart fm next Tuesday morning at around 8:15am, with the team that came to switch on the Christmas lights here at school a couple of years ago.
