Important Information to Share

Chance to Shine Cricket Day -  8th May
A coach from Chance to Shine Cricket will be coming into school on Wednesday 8th May to coach cricket to all of the children throughout the day.  Can parents please ensure your child is sent into school in their PE kit on that Wednesday. 
 
PE days
Reception -  Monday and Tuesdays
Year 1  - Tuesdays
Year 2 , 3, 4  -  Monday and Tuesdays
Year  5, 6 -  Monday and Tuesdays
(Please note PE kit needed on Wednesay 8th May)
 
Parking
whilst we understand that it can be difficult to find a space to park sometimes, especially when the weather is poor and everyone decides to drive, but please do consider where and how you park.  Please see the attached poster that we have been asked to share with our school community.
 
PTA cupcake decorating workshop - Friday 17th May
The pta is excited to be able to run our first cupcake decorating workshop. Thanks to Zoe (Emilia’s mum ) who owns her own bakery business Sweet William’s Bakery.
She has offered her time, skills and equipment to run the workshop where the children will get the chance to decorate their own cupcake. The theme will be animal faces.
There is limited space  so it will be on a first come , first serve basis.

Please email into school if you would like your child to take part. Please let us know of any dietary requirements upon booking. Please note we can not do egg free. Please do not make payment until we have confirmed you child has a place.
 
Year 6 SATs 
Year 6 must bring their SATs folders in every day please
We will be offering breakfast sessions for Year 6 children for SATs week - more details to follow.
 
Parent Mental health free workshops
Please see attached details of free workshops which we have been asked to share with you.
 
Suffolk Parent Carer Forum are holding an open event in Stowmarket for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, including mental health concerns. See poster attached
 
 

REMINDERS!!!!

 
PGL Trip payment
Reminder that the next payment is due at the end of April please.
 
Bikeability
If your Year 5 / 6 child would like to take part in the Bikability course in July, please return the consent form by next Friday. This will be offered to Year 6 in the first instance.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
