Information to Share

Bank Holiday - don't forget Monday is a bank holiday.  We hope you enjoy the long weekend.

Football Tournament - apologies for the confusion with the timings for the tournament at St Jo's next Friday.  Foxes will be taken by minibus at lunchtime.  Please ensure they have a packed lunch.  Those playing will need to come to school in their PE kit with suntan cream applied if warm weather or raincoats, plenty of water and some snacks.  The tournament is scheduled to finish at approx 3.30pm, parents are requested to collect their child from the venue.  Please contact the office to confirm collection or if you have any issues in collecting, so that we can try to make alternative arrangements.  Parents are welcome to watch the event, where we have been reliably informed, the tea and cake are rather good!  The tournament starts at 12:30pm.

Bikeability - year 5 children need to bring their bikes into school on Tuesday.  Please ensure you have read the letter and prepared as best you can.  A water proof may be essential, as is a properly fitting helmet.  Bikes can be left in school overnight ready for day 2 on Wednesday.

Menu Change - please note there will be a change to the menu offered on Thursday 16th May.  This will need to be pre-ordered by Friday 10th to enable the kitchen to order the necessary foods.  Please see the attached menu and complete the Form on the website regardless of whether your child will be having a hot meal or bringing a packed lunch.  In addition to the menu ONLY cheese jacket potatoes will be available.

SATs Breakfasts - if you have yet to contribute towards the SATs breakfasts that parents are offering, please do so on Monday with no exceptions.  The breakfasts are offered to year 5 & year 6.  Please note the monies requested are to reimburse the parents who have kindly volunteered to organise and serve the children their breakfasts prior to sitting their SATs.

Yr 4 Sleepover - is scheduled for Friday 28th June.  More information to follow soon.

PTA Fete - the closing date for entries for the design of the fete poster closes on 17th May.  Template attached.  The winner will recieve a prize of a family entry ticket to Ipswich Comic Con and have the honour of their design being on this year's fete posters all over Ipswich!

Lost Uniform - can you please check your child's school jumpers to see if they have their own labelled jumper.  While there, please label them if it has worn off.

REMINDERS!!!!

Foxes need packed lunches on Mondays if they are attending guitar.

The next installment of PGL payment plan is now due.

Friday is the deadline for the Seaside Special lunch order - EVERYONE must respond to the Form please.

As the weather hopefully improves, please ensure all jumpers/cardigans/fleeces have names in as they tend to get discarded at break time!
Please also ensure lunchboxes and drinks bottles are labelled!  These often get left behind and cannot be returned without a name on them.

Please check the website for guidance on uniform including PE - earrings are not permitted to be worn during PE lessons.

Don't forget to check out our website for information on events happening soon including holiday clubs, sporting sessions and more!

words.PNG

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
