Copdock School open day: Wednesday 13th November, 9.30am and 6pm

Welcome to the Federation of Bentley Church of England and Copdock Community Primary Schools.

Working in Partnership since 2010, our schools share a range of expertise, resources and experiences, enhancing provision and opportunities for both staff and pupils. We share the same values, face similar issues and are geographically close enough to support and challenge each other. However, we also recognise the unique characteristics of our school communities and encourage all to celebrate the diversity and special qualities reflected in our distinctive school cultures.

At Bentley and Copdock Primary Schools, we promote high aspirations for every child, cultivating a love of learning within friendly, supportive and challenging school environments. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to achieve their very best, making appropriate choices about how they learn through an exciting and carefully designed curriculum. As small schools we also have the privilege of getting to know each pupil as an individual, enabling us to guide and support them throughout their learning journey resulting in high levels of personal achievement.

Our vision is for all children to be…

confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens

… who are well equipped for future life, whatever that may hold.

In close partnership with parents, we promote the development of these important key skills and values and encourage application in all aspects of daily life.

We are proud of our schools and value the strong community links we have both locally and further afield. Regular visits to our local churches, St Mary’s in Bentley and St Peter's in Copdock, enhance our curriculum experiences and celebrations throughout the year.

We encourage all prospective parents to explore our school website for an insight into daily life at Bentley and Copdock Primary Schools.  Visits to see the classrooms in action are also welcomed. If you would like to make an appointment, please contact the school office at Bentley or Copdock and speak to one of our Office Managers.

   Mrs Joanne Austin,

   Executive Headteacher

Leaders have carefully developed the curriculum and extra-curricular offer with the view to building confidence, success and spiritual development. There is a very strong sense that staff know their pupils' talents, areas for development and personalities. As a result, pupils are confident, capable and reflective learners.

Bentley SIAMS 2023

Pupils enjoy coming to school. This is visible in their enthusiasm and excitement for their learning. They feel safe and happy in all aspects of school life. Leaders have created an ethos of exceptionally high expectations, which pupils embody. Pupils reflect the vision of leaders, developing as ‘confident, successful learners and well equipped for future life’.
