Adders Class 20.12.24

Date: 20th Dec 2024 @ 4:06pm

Well, we made it!  Thank you, Adders Class, for being superb this term - I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching you all.

Thank you so much for your kind gifts and cards.  I really appreciate them and so does Mrs Lawrance.

Please remember that you return to school on: TUESDAY 7th JANUARY 2025.  We will have PE that day, so please wear your PE kits.  Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).

We will be celebrating Epiphany at St Mary's Church on Wednesday 8th January.  Parents are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate the arrival of the Kings following Jesus' birth.  Worship group will be leading the service with support from Rev Chris and one of our parents. We hope you can join us. Children will need to be dropped at the church for the usual time of 8.45am.

I would like you all to have a fantastic Christmas and New Year.  Make sure you are recharging your batteries for next term and I hope you spend some quality time with your families.

Over the holidays, I would like you to do the following:

  • Practise the second column of the Year 5/6 Common Exception Words for a test after Christmas.
  • If you can find a few minutes over the festive period to rehearse some key skills, it would be extremely helpful. It might be reading some new books received as presents, or making use of any pens / pencils to practise our new handwriting and letter formation.
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERYDAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your Log Book for our Reading Giants challenge.  Make sure you are reading over Christmas.  Ask a grown up to sign your book.
