Date: 17th Oct 2024 @ 9:21pm

Welcome to the final week of this half term and what a busy week it is going to be!  PGL HERE WE COME!!

This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.

You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY and TUESDAY this week.  Ben will teach you on Monday and I will teach you on Tuesday.  Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).

It is Worship Group on MONDAY lunchtime at 12pm.

On WEDNESDAY, we are leaving school at 11am to travel to Bawdsey Manor.  Don't forget to bring your things into the hall through the front door by 8.45am where you can say goodbye to your grown ups.  Please make sure you are packing your bag so you know what is in there and don't forget your packed lunch!

The learning behaviour this week is 'Try New Things' and our value this half term is 'Generosity'.

Your homework from last week needs to be in on TUESDAY so we can mark it before PGL.  This week's homework (to be given out on TUESDAY 22nd OCTOBER) is:

  • Spelling Sheet - recap suffixes
  • Maths - Subtraction
  • Writing: Please watch this VIDEO explaining the different types of sentences.  I would like you to edit and rewrite the paragraph of writing adding in the missing capital letters, full stops for sentence breaks and commas to demarcate clauses/fronted adverbials.  You must write using black handwriting pen and make sure that your presentation is of a high standard (joined handwriting and correct spellings).
  • Practise the first column of the Year 5/6 Common Exception Words for a test after half term.
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERYDAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your Log Book for our Reading Giants challenge.  Ask a grown up to sign your book.

As it is half term after PGL, please complete your homework and bring into school on FRIDAY 8th NOVEMBER.
