Welcome to another fun-filled week in Adders Class!  

This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.  

You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY and TUESDAY this week.  Ben will teach you on Monday and I will teach you on Tuesday.  Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers),

On WEDNESDAY, we are visiting Bury St Edmund's Cathedral.  You will need to wear school uniform and bring a coat, a packed lunch and a drink.  Please see the email sent to grown ups about the visit.

Do not forget to practise all the notes you have learnt so far on your clarinet and BRING YOUR INSTRUMENT IN ON THURSDAY.

If you have a speaking part in our Christmas play, please make sure you are practising your words and learning the song words.

The learning behaviour this week is 'Don't Give Up' and our value this half term is 'Compassion'.  Our words this week are: 'pulley' and  'gear'.

Our homework day is FRIDAY.  This week's homework (to be given out on FRIDAY 6th DECEMBER) is:

  • Maths: Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.
  • Writing: Please watch this VIDEO explaining simple, compound and complex (middle) sentences (up to 4mins 24 seconds).  The images for each sentence type are also below.  I would like you to write no more than five sentences about dogs being helpful to humans. The task will be explained in detail in your homework book.  You must write using black handwriting pen and make sure that your presentation is of a high standard (clearly written handwriting and correct spellings).
  • Spelling Sheet - words ending in 'shun' (tion/sion/ssion).
  • Practise the second column of the Year 5/6 Common Exception Words. 
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERYDAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your Log Book for our Reading Giants challenge.  Ask a grown up to sign your book.

Complete your homework and bring into school on FRIDAY 13th DECEMBER.
