Welcome to the final week of the Spring Term. This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.
You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY as you have PE on Monday with Ben in the morning and with me in the afternoon with Hedgehogs. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).
On TUESDAY, Year 6 have an EBHS transition workshop at school from 1.00-2.30pm.
On WEDNESDAY, it is the Cross Country Competition at RHS. You will need to come dressed in your PE kit if you are taking part.
On THURSDAY, you need to be dropped off at the church by 8.45am for our Easter Service and Experience. It is also our annual Easter Bonnet Parade - I look forward to seeing all your designs!
Please bring into school your clarinet on THURSDAY and make sure you are practising the songs we have learnt at home.
On FRIDAY, we are sharing the value of 'Justice' during Family Assembly.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Improve' and our value this half term is 'Justice'. Our words this week are: 'navigable' and 'struts'.
Year 6. don't forget to complete your first set of SATs homework which needs to be brought into school on MONDAY 31st MARCH so we can mark it in class.
Our homework day is FRIDAY. This week's homework for Y5 only (to be given out on FRIDAY 4th APRIL 2025) is:
- Maths: Decimals.
- Writing: Please watch this VIDEO explaining verb complex sentence (from 4mins 24 seconds to 6mins 53 seconds). The images for each sentence type are also below. I would like you to write five sentences about the picture of the hedge tunnel (shown below). The task will be explained in detail in your homework book. You must write using black handwriting pen and make sure that your presentation is of a high standard (clearly written handwriting and correct spellings).
- Spelling Sheet - Statutory Words.
- Practise the fourth column of the Year 5/6 Common Exception Words and your personal spellings. You will be tested on these spellings after the Easter Holidays.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERYDAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your Log Book for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book.
