Adders Class 9.12.24

Welcome to another fun-filled week in Adders Class!  Not long now until Christmas!

This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.  

You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY and TUESDAY this week.  Ben will teach you on Monday and I will teach you on Tuesday.  Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers),

On WEDNESDAY, it is our Christmas Dinner.  You grown ups should have pre ordered your meal.

Do not forget to practise all the notes you have learnt so far on your clarinet and BRING YOUR INSTRUMENT IN ON THURSDAY.

On FRIDAY, we have our class assembly during Family Assembly and before that, at 2.00-2.30pm, your grown ups are invited to a Healthy Living Workshop.  We will also be selling our calendars and class gifts after school at the PTA hot chocolate event.

If you have a speaking part in our Christmas play, please make sure you are practising your words and learning the song words.  We will be rehearsing next week and it will be without any scripts or words.

Clothes for the Christmas play will need to be brought in by FRIDAY.  If you are a reporter, inn keeper or member of the choir, you will need to wear party clothes or a Christmas jumper.  If you are part of the nativity scene (shepherd, wise man), wear a dark top and school trousers.  

YOUR PARENTS HAVE A QUESTIONNAIRE TO FILL IN.  THE LINK IS ON THE NEWSLETTER.  PLEASE REMIND THEM TO DO THIS!

The learning behaviour this week is 'Improve' and our value this half term is 'Compassion'.  Our words this week are: 'pivot' and  'fulcrum'.

Our homework day is FRIDAY.  This week's homework is:

  • Practise the second column of the Year 5/6 Common Exception Words for a test after Christmas. 
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERYDAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your Log Book for our Reading Giants challenge.  Make sure you are reading over Christmas.  Ask a grown up to sign your book.
