Good morning everyone! The end of the week is getting closer! I hope you have enjoyed finding out about animals this week.
This is the learning that I would like you to complete today:
- Arithmetic Test 28 OR 15 minutes TT Rockstars.
- Reading – ‘Skellig’ Reading Comprehension in your printed pack. Please answer the rest of the questions (Predict, Explain, Retrieve and Summarise). You can answer in your homework book or discuss the answers orally with an adult.
- Maths – Y5: Continue with Problem Solving activities from your printed pack; Y6: Continue with Consolidation activities in your printed pack – details of these activities are on Monday’s blog.
- Maths – ED/LW/FD/IF/JL: Classroom Secrets sheets – Geometry: Properties of Shapes. Today and tomorrow, you need to complete the Extension/Homework and Discussion Problems (JL, you don’t have these) sheets for the last three topics covered this week: ‘Quadrilaterals’, ‘Lines of Symmetry’ and ‘Symmetric Figures’.
- Writing – Write a formal letter to Colchester Zoo or Banham Zoo persuading them to close the zoo because of Coronavirus. You must justify your opinions with factual information. Set out your letter correctly, using ‘Dear Sir/Madam’ and ‘Yours faithfully’ at the end (this is because you don’t know the name of the person who you are writing to).
- Science – Continue with the learning from yesterday.
- Physical Exercise – any activity that is going to give you 60 minutes of exercise.
