Friday - Homework and 5 reads due in

Homework

Reading Giants - Read at least 5 times each week and record it in the planner. Please note - the planner needs to be in school on Friday as past reads will not be recorded on our chart (except holidays).

Writing - In your homework book, look at the picture. Write 3 simple sentences to describe the picture. A simple sentence has just one verb and will make sense on its own. can you find a way to create a dramatic impact and evoke a feeling from the reader. If  your adult would like to know more about  the sentences we are learning in school and have for home learning, please check out the writing video on the Curriculum tab-How parents can support the curriculum.

Maths - Rounding. Remember which column to look at to see it a number should round up or down. For example if rounding to the nearest 10,000 you need to look at the one thousands column, 34,723 would round to 30,000 as the 4 in the thousands column is less than 5.

Spellings - Please practise column 1 of the year 5/6 words (or 3/4 words) and the prefixes for years 5/6

Have a lovely weekend
