Hedgehogs - Friday 22nd May 2020
Date: 22nd May 2020 @ 7:27am
Good Morning Hedgehogs!
I hope you have had a good week and have enjoyed learning about animals. You have worked so hard and all the work I have seen is fantastic! I shall be checking into the class discussion later on today to make some more comments so if you want to upload anything else, it would be great to see!
As you know, our class reading book during the Spring Term was ‘James and the Giant Peach’ by Roald Dahl. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish our story before the school closure. However on YouTube, Taika Waititi (the New Zealander film maker) is recording different episodes of him and other celebrities reading through James and the Giant Peach. I have included the link for the first two episodes below. (NB: Remember to check with an adult before watching the story and to not make any donations without asking an adult!! They are raising money for Partners in Health but you must make sure you speak to an adult before clicking on any links!)

Episode 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX3Q5y8Dz58
There are also lots of fun (and free!) activities to do on the Roald Dahl website link below. Why not have a go at drawing some of the characters?

Below you will find the Fluent in Five questions for today. Don’t forget to check the answers on Monday’s blog when you are done.
Year 3
Year 4
Next week it is half term so there will not be any daily blogs. Try and keep as busy as you can and get as much fresh air as possible. Fingers crossed we get lots of sunshine for us all to enjoy! Remember if you are spending time in the sun to - ‘Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide’. Slip on a T-shirt, slop on sun cream, slap on a hat, seek shade regularly (and definitely when the sunshine is at its highest!), and slide on some sunglasses. The sun can be very damaging to our skin so keep yourself safe and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
As always - have fun, read lots and keep active! I can’t wait to hear what you have all been up to!
Take care,
Miss Underwood
