Hedgehogs - Tuesday 5th May 2020
Date: 4th May 2020 @ 9:49pm
Good Morning Everyone!
Hopefully you had a good Monday and enjoyed the first day on our topic of celebrations. I went into school yesterday to make up your next learning packs with Mrs Hicks’s help. They are similar to the packs you have currently so you should find them easy to follow when you get them. We have included some knowledge organisers for maths within your pack and you can find some on yesterday’s blog as well to help you with your learning. This is a way of showing the key pieces of information you will need and is similar to your notes in your working wall books.
Do also try to watch the White Rose video too for each day as this will really help you to understand the task and do the ‘teaching’ for you. Scroll down to find Summer Term Week 1 for this week's learning on your year group page.
Thank you for sharing your learning with me via the weekly discussion or by email. It is so lovely to see what you are getting up to and you are all working so hard. I have set up the discussion for this week and made a note of some pieces of work it would be lovely to share. However, please do add anything you wish to share or are proud of as it will be great to see!
Just a quick note for you all - we are obviously very pleased to see you complete all the daily activities (as a lot of you are) but if for any reason on the odd day you don't get finished then do not worry! We understand that everyday has its own challenges and whatever you can do is brilliant. As long as you can try and do some Maths, Reading and Writing each day you should be able to keep on top of those key skills.
This week we are going to be looking at celebrations around the world. On Friday we have a bank holiday to celebrate VE Day which is the 75th anniversary of the ending of World War 2. VE stands for Victory in Europe and you can find out more information in the video link below. Just a quick reminder - the learning we have sent home for Friday is optional as it is a bank holiday!

You can also have a look at the Worship from Home activities that I attached on yesterday’s blog. The theme for this week is 'hope'. If you have any pictures of your origami eagle or something to show hope, please add it to our weekly class discussion.
I look forward to seeing what you get up to over the next few days. Remember to keep active and get as much fresh air as possible!
Take care and stay safe!
Miss Underwood
