Kitten Class 6/9/21

Date: 3rd Sep 2021 @ 4:17pm

Good morning Kittens!

Welcome to Monday. I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I was so proud of how you all came into school on Friday. You looked so smart and ready to learn. Well done!

Our learning behaviour for this week is: Enjoy your learning - try new things.
                                                                - I enjoy trying new things.
                                                                - I try things that I know I am not so good at.
                                                                - I try new clubs and activities.
                                                                - I share my experiences and interests with others.

Please remember that this week's dinner menu is week 3. Have a chat before coming to school about what you would like to eat each day.

Parent access to the website. Please remember to log in on the website you will need to, find copdock school on list by typing cop. Your user name is the email address you provided the school and the password is your child's first name, starting with a capital letter, then their date of birth and an exclamation mark (sorry I forgot that part in my meeting). e.g. Samuel04!

We will be doing PE on a Monday and Thursday afternoon. Please come into school wearing your PE kit on these days. On a Monday afternoon you will have Miss Cross teaching you so that Mr Ross can have his PPA time (planning, preparation & assessment).

Year 1:
As we are getting use to settling back into school, your home learning activities with start from next week. But please continue to go through your sounds and tricky words to help you with your future learning.

Reception:
What a great start to starting big school! We are going to have even more fun this week.

Grown-ups, as you may have heard this year the children in Reception are to complete a statutory baseline assessment. I have attached more details of this at the bottom of the page. Please do not worry about this process. It is very practical and really just gives me a snap shot. It takes no more than 20 minutes. I complete my own baseline assessments every year and this will supplement them. I will talk to you more about this process when we meet in a few weeks.

You may also find this video about the Reception baseline assessment (RBA) helpful.
