Hi Kittens, 

I hope you had a great weekend. We had a lovely time at school last week, learning our class routines and becoming familiar with the school. This week we will be starting Phonics lessons!

Our learning behaviour of the week is: 'push yourself and our value is 'generosity'

Our words of the week are: Reception: 'around' and 'over' Year 1: 'bristles' and 'ferrule'

Reminders:

Tuesday - Wear PE kit

Friday - RECEPTION ONLY please come to school wearing old trousers you do not mind getting dirty/muddy. We will be attending Forest School in the afternoon. If you have wellies please name them and bring them in.

General reminders:

Please ensure you are wearing correct uniform; including socks and it is labelled.

Daily belongings needed in school: water bottle, planners, book bag, coat and a smile!

Earrings must be taken out for PE. 

Homework - Year 1

Due in 26.9.24

1. Practise for number challenge
2. Reading Giants - Read at least 5 times each week and record it in the planner. Please note - the planner needs to be in school on Friday as past reads will not be recorded on our chart (except holidays).
3. honics Worksheet - go through the worksheet and segment/blend the words
4. Spellings - Please practise the 6 spellings which are on the bottom of the Phonics worksheet. They will be tested on a Friday. Spellings are also on EdShed 
5. Maths worksheet – One more than
