Kittens 5.7.21
Date: 4th Jul 2021 @ 5:31pm
Hello Kittens!
Welcome to another week of learning. I can't believe we have just over 2 weeks left together before the start of the Summer holidays! Let's make them great ones!
This week we will be welcoming our new Reception children to Copdock as they stay and play. I know you will make them feel very welcome.
On Tuesday afternoon, you have an extra PE lesson with an outside coach. So please come to school in your PE Tuesday as well as Monday. Thank you.
Our learning behaviour this week is learn from your mistakes - improve.
In Maths, we will be continuing to think about numbers to 100 by ordering numbers.
In RE, we will be exploring the Jewish religion some more.
In PSHE, we will be finding out some amazing facts about our bodies. Did you know that we blink between 15-20 times ia minute!
On Thursday morning, as part of our school experiences, we will be going for a hike (a longer walk) around our local area exploring the countryside. We will be taking in the fresh air and looking for wild growing plants. It is also hoped we can make our own healthy packed lunch before this to enjoy on our return. I will conform this with you over the next few days depending of course on the weather!
Year 1
Please continue to read at least 5 times a week.
This week's spellings: you will be spelling numbers to 10. This will then help you to spell numbers to 20 like fourteen.
For Maths, please complete your ordering numbers sheet and your revision of 2D shapes. Really focus on triangles and rectangles as sometimes you confuse these.
Reception
On Wednesday, we are going to be producing your Tapestry Learning Journey. Therefore, from Wednesday we will be disabling your Tapestry account so we can prepare the PDF file for you. Thank you so much for using this as way to communicate with us.
Please continue to read at least 5 times a week.
You might like to play this reading game to help you to see and read the words that include the digraphs and trigraphs we have been learning.
Please continue to learn your tricky words. Ask your grown-ups to look at the link to find some fun ways to help you learn them.
You will find new spellings in your quiz book. Learn them over the week ready for your spelling quiz on Friday.
You can find 'My learning this week' for last week at the bottom of this page.
Let's have another great week of learning!
Best wishes,
Mr Ross :-)
