PGL Day Three - 25.10.24

Date: 25th Oct 2024 @ 7:28am

We've made it to day three!! We are up and packing our bags - hopefully everything will make it home!  We had a good time at campfire last night, singing silly songs and toasting marshmallows.  After breakfast and once we have packed up our rooms, our activities are: rifle shooting, abseiling and climbing.  We will be having a lunch of fish and chips before we leave PGL at 2pm.

Photos to follow...  These are all from Mrs Robinson's group so don't be disappointed if you cannot see yourself.

Well, we have made it home with all of the children, a little tired, but pleased to be home.  We have had a lovely time and would like to thank Mr Hurst for volunteering to come with us (again) and Mrs Windmill for organising the trip (with Mrs Wilson) and being a nurse for a week.

Enjoy the half term and a rest.

I would like to add my thoughts to the blog and photos from Mr Hurst's groups and mine will follow soon. Thank you to Mrs Robinson for uploading all of them so far.

I think this was a highly successful trip mainly down to the attitude, behaviour and determination from an amazing group of children. You threw yourselves into everything and pushed yourselves further than you thought you would. Your behaviour was fantastic and you were, as always, a credit to our schools. To have you all asleep by 10pm on night one and 9.30pm on night two must be a record and the first year no-one has knocked on my door during the night.

Please give yourselves a massive pat on the back, I had such a great time seeing all you achieved and hope you have made some lovely memories.

Sorry to your parents, especially if your child fell off the raft into the lake, for a set of wet and muddy clothes but hopefully that shows what a great time your children had.

Have a relaxing week off

Mrs Windmill
