Hello Squirrels, 

I hope you have had a lovely weekend. 

It was lovely to have you all back in school last week and I was so impressed by the excellent start you have all made to this term. 

This week we will be continuing to work on rhyming poems in writing. We will also be continuing our new ICT topic where we will be working with robots and learning all about algorithms. In art we will be focusing on human form and this week will be exploring some of Damien Hirst's work.

In PSHE we will be looking at toys and gender. Please bring in a small toy from home on Monday. 

Remember our PE days have changed slightly. You will now be haviong PE lessons on Monday as usual and also Wednesday. Please remember to come in your PE kit on these days. 

Homework:

• Spellings (in homework book and on spelling shed)
• Practise for maths challenge
• Please complete the rhyming words sheet in your homework book, this will support you when working towards writing your poem in school.
• Topic: Last week we were learning all about algorithms in ICT. We learnt that they are like a sequence of instructions. Can you draw a simple character and create a squence of instructions for someone at home to follow to see if your algorithm works. Did they draw what you expected? Do you need to change your algorithm?
