General Reminders
Please ensure you are bringing bookbags, water bottles and coats to school.
Earrings must be taken out for PE.
Please make sure children are wearing correct uniform; including socks and it is labelled.
5 reads for the week must be recorded by the Friday of that week and in school on the Friday in order to be marked on the chart.
Spelling tests
We are going to change the way we test spellings on a Friday. We will now send the same list of words home to practise, however when testing them in school we will be asking the children to write three dictated sentences that will include some of the words the children have been practising along with some of their common exception words. This is to ensure the children can apply the spellings they have learnt and also ensure the are using all the correct features of a sentence e.g. full stops and capital letters. The children have all been made aware of this change and are excited for a new challenge.
Homework
Due in 21.3.25
- Spellings
- Practice for number challenge
- Three sentences about picture using adverbs.
- Phonics Sheet (Y1 only)
- In PSHE, you have been learning all about medicine and how it should be stored safely. Can you explain this to someone at home?
- 5 reads (please remember to record these in reading logs)
If your adult would like to know more about the sentences we are learning in school and how to support you with your writing homework, please check out the writing video on the Curriculum tab-How parents can support the curriculum.
Have a great week!
