Welcome to another week of learning and another week closer to Christmas!

This week I would like you to focus on reading 5 x week, number challenge and spellings. Our vocabulary words this week are 'identify' 'suggest' so please drop these in to your conversations as many times as you can!

Tuesday 1st December 2020

Year 2 - Please practise adding 2 digit numbers that do not cross 10.  I have included some for you in your homework book and how they should be set out.  Please spend 5 minutes each night doing these to secure the method and understanding.  Children will need to use this method in the SAT test in summer term.

Wednesday 2nd December 2020

Year 2 - Please keep practising your adding.  We did the phonic screening check yesterday and I will let you know how your child did in due course.

Year 1 & Year 2 

Next week we will be starting instruction writing.  Please have a look at home and find some instructions.  This might include cooking, model making etc.  Talk to your grown up about what you notice. How are they different to a story or information text?
