Good morning!
It's going to be a lovely hot day so remember to put suncream on if you are doing outside learning this afternoon.
When we were in the copse yesterday, we found a Stag Beetle larvae! What have you found in your microhabitats and bug hotels?

Animal science activity book-you can complete this over the week
-
Be creative and make an imaginary animal (you could use any sort of fruit of vegetables or junk),then make a habitat for it in your garden. What sort of microhabitat would it be suited to? For example, damp shady area, grassy area, pond area or stony area. Why would it be suited to that area?
-
Make a bug hotel by cutting a melon in half and hollowing it out in the middle. Carve an opening and then place it in your garden and check each morning to see if any bugs have checked into your hotel.
Literacy extension (only if you would like to) – have a look at the Animal Alliteration Poem. Can you write an animal alliteration poem like this one?
Don't worry if you have completed your animal activities, do your family activities.
