For the first part of this week, we are going to be writing a non-chronological report about an animal of your choice. You could even choose one of the African animals that came to visit us from Kimmy’s Zoo!

Today you need to finish your research and begin writing. Try to make it as eye catching as you can and sign post your information using subheadings! Use the examples below to help you.

(If you get stuck, look back at the areas we were researching yesterday to get you started.)

(Time to take a break and have some fun!)

  • Maths Task:

20 minutes on TTRs – have a go in the Studio to set your Rock Speed today and also try to complete at least one Sound Check. I have now set the tables so the Garage should also be more of a challenge for some of you.

https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/category/22/most-popular  - this is another website with free games you may want to investigate!

Please complete the questions in your maths homework book.

Year 3 – pg. 10-11

Year 4 – pg. 8-9

Have a look at the image below to help you with the column method.

(Now make sure you have had a play and something for lunch. What jobs around the house can you help with today?)

  • Afternoon Geography task:

This afternoon we are going to be finding out about another locality in the UK.

First, can you find out the definitions of rural and urban? What type of place do you think Bentley is? How do you know?

Now, have a go at answering the questions below in full sentences using the information you can see in the picture.

  • Where is this picture taken? (There is a big clue in the picture!) Can you now find it on a map?
  • Is it an urban or a rural place? Why?
  • Describe any of these that you can see:  water, things growing, buildings etc.
  • Would people live here? Why / why not?
  • What jobs might people do here? Why?
  • Who might visit this place? Why?
  • How is it similar to / different from where you live?
  • Do you think this picture gives a fair idea of what this place is like? (Are these the only things you would expect to see here?)

(Now it’s time to be active and get as much fresh air as you can. Maybe you could go for a walk or cycle with your family? Or make up a dance to a favourite song. Just make sure you stay safe!)

Please share what you have created or written today on this blog and don’t forget to ask for help if you need it!

Have fun!

Miss Underwood
