Wolves 16.9.21
Date: 9th Sep 2021 @ 4:14pm
Learning behaviour: tune in and concentrate
Vocabulary:
Y1&2: deciduous, evergreen, environment
Homework: please send in your 'all about me' sheets that I sent home with your photos on and complete the home school agreement with your child that is mentioned in this week's weekly news.
Spelling tests start for Y1 and 2 this Tuesday afternoon and new spellings will be given out after I have marked them. There are 5 different spelling groups, according to a test I did last week, so if you haven't found the red spelling book yet, please ask about this.
Reading diaries are checked every Friday and stickers given if they have 5 reads recorded.
All of the learning for this week is attached at the bottom of the screen including the timetable with links and the sheets, so that any children who are learning from home can access the timetable easily. Please let me know if you need any support with home learning.
This week we are looking at place value, counting and 1 more, 1 less in maths. We will continue with the curly caterpillar and one armed robot family of letters for formation. In writing we are starting looking at a recount about a trip to the beacj, having our own trip to the woods at school and starting to write our recount for this over the next few weeks.
In Science we are looking at seasons and changes, including trees.
Our curriculum map for our topic on Our Village School is also below.
I look forward to seeing all parents on Wednesday on the Teams link (see email) 6-6:20pm to explain more about the expectations of the class.
I hope you all continue to stay well and safe, and that we are all back to normal soon.
Mrs Rudge
