Woodpeckers Friday 19th June
Date: 18th Jun 2020 @ 4:22pm
Good morning Woodpeckers
It's Friday! It is the last day of the theme, 'Famous Significant People', I have enjoyed looking at your learning on the weekly discussion.
It was lovely seeing some of you this week in the Blue Superhero group and I hope the rest of you had a good week.
Today's learning is:
- Maths click on: http://www.skoool.com.eg/english/skoool_bundle/content/primary/maths/24_hour_time/index.html Then create a diary using pictures to show your day from waking up to going to bed. Label these events using both 12-hour clock and 24hour clock times.
- Reading: Try reading something unusual in an unusual place e.g. A cookbook in the bath. A storybook under the table. How many unusual places can you read a book in? Share your ideas on the Weekly Discussion page for others to see.
- Practise your weekly and common exception words on Spelling Shed.
- Writing: Watch, 'The Clocktower' and complete activities on page 12 and 13.
- Topic: Sophia Barnacle - Sophia was a British inventor who, in 1907, invented the Helter-skelter. Try using junk box material to make your own helter-skelter or a marble run. To find out more about building your own marble run click the link below: http://www.jamesdysonfoundation.co.uk/resources/challenge-cards.html
I will look forward to seeing your some of your learning today. If you need anything throughout the day then please let me know as I will be on the blogs and discussion.
Have a great day and lovely weekend Woodpeckers.
