Woodpeckers Friday 1st May

Date: 30th Apr 2020 @ 7:58pm

Good morning Woodpeckers 😊

I have really enjoyed looking at all your amazing learning about food this week. Next week we are moving on to celebrations.

Please do check into the weekly discussion today if you haven’t already. Remember to upload your learning, share ideas and ask for help.

Your tasks for today:

  • Reading Comprehension: Year 3 – The Decider and Year 4 – Theseus
  • Healthy Eating Code Breaker – I have uploaded the activity with the answers. There are different levels of difficulty so I will let you decide where you would like to start and see if you can break the code. You could always challenge yourself to see if you can complete them all. Remember to post your answers on our weekly discussion.
  • Spellings - Choose 5 Statutory Words. Write a synonym, antonyms, the meaning and an example of how to use the word in a sentence. Can the word be modified?

Choose 5 Statutory Words and practise spelling them using bubble letters. Write the word in bubble letters, e.g.

Don’t forget to log onto Spelling Shed to practise the spellings for this week too.

  • Maths - Complete your Fluent in Five for today.

Then log on to https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/

You will need to go on to White Rose Home Learning Page – click on your year group and Week 2. For each lesson there is a short video to watch before completing your worksheet that links to that lessons learning. In addition, you will need to complete the classroom secrets sheets that go with it. These are within your learning packs. The focus for today is below:

Year 3- Equivalent fractions (1)

Year 4 – Divide 1 or 2-digits by 100

All - 15 minutes on TTR’s

  • Cooking - Find a recipe and follow the instructions to make something of your choice. Make sure you have the ingredients at home first. Consider making a meal or a dessert for your family. It would be lovely to see a photo of your creation once you have made it on our weekly discussion.
  • Everyday Be Active – Why not try something from the following ideas from your learning packs and make sure you get some fresh air.

Hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy your learning. If you need any help, remember to get in touch via this week’s discussion.

Stay safe and have a great weekend,

Mrs North 😊
