Important Information to Share

On behalf of all staff, I would like to thank parents and children for their kind words and gifts. It has been a busy term, sadly with lots of illness too. We hope you all recover quickly and enjoy the special time together as a family over the Christmas holidays.
 
Homework
If you can find a few minutes over the festive period to rehearse some key skills, it would be extremely helpful. It might be reading some new books received as presents, or making use of any pens / pencils to practise our new handwriting and letter formation. Don't forget we have the guides to support you here, Use the password 'hw' to access the page.
 
Epiphany Service 8th January
We will be celebrating Epiphany at St Mary's Church on Wednesday 8th January. Parents are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate the arrival of the Kings following Jesus' birth. In preparation, the children will be making crowns before the end of term. Worship group will be leading the service with support from Rev Chris and one of our parents. We hope you can join us. Children will need to be dropped at the church for the usual time of 8.45am. 
 
Christmas Gallery

Medication
All medication needs to be collected and taken home and checked, and returned after the break if needed. Please ensure that the Asthma form has been returned to us if your child has an inhaler in school.
 
There will be no Family Sharing Assembly this afternoon.
 
Managing the Christmas Sensory Overload
Please find a flyer attached regarding a support pack provided by the Specialist Education Services providing strategies and ideas for children and families feeling the emotional and sensory overwhelm at Christmas time.
 
Clubs after Christmas break
Activiity Club will resume after the Christmas break, starting on Tuesday 14th January for 5 weeks at £2.00 per week = £10.00.  Please let the office know if your child would like to resume this club and pay online.
 
Swimming Lessons
Swimming resumes on Monday 13th January for Year 3 & 4 children
 
Mental Health and wellbeing parent/carer workshops

REMINDERS!!!!

 
Coats - Please ensure thall all children are wearing a named coat every day.
 
Registration - the school day begins at 8.45am. We look forward to seeing everyone on time as we welcome you back in January.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!

Learners of the week

All children were amazing in their Christmas plays this week, making them all learner sof the week!
