Important Information to Share
Lent Challenges
Every year, we ask the children to think about this period of Lent and how we can either 'give up' something or try something new. Our 20 Lent Challenges have been agreed by Worship Group and they would like as many children as possible to complete these this year. Your child had a paper copy on Monday, and will have until Friday 25th April to complete all 20 challenges. Every child who brings in their completed sheet with all 20 ticked off and signed by an adult by this deadline, will receive two brain stickers and some extra playtime. Thank you for supporting your child with their challenge! Mrs Robinson and Worship Group
Summer term changes
We are writing to inform you that Mrs Austin has been approached by the LA to support another local school during the summer term, whilst they are recruiting a Headteacher. To ensure that things continue to run smoothly at Bentley and Copdock Schools, Miss Cross will be released from her teaching commitment to support school development priorities on both school sites. Mrs Atkins, who currently works at Bentley alongside Mrs North, will be teaching Woodpeckers class on a Thursday and Friday. She is looking forward to getting to know Woodpeckers and has already been into school to say hello.
Attendance
For information the Attendance in Suffolk primary schools at the end of February was 94.8%. Attendance at Bentley Primary school has risen to 92% which is great to see. Hopefully with the better weather on its way, everyone will be healthier and attendance will continue to be high. Thank you for your support.

We do still need a volunteer marshall please if anyone is able to volunteer for this please, the more volunteers we have the less time each parent will need to marshall. Unfortunately if we do not provide a marshall, we will not be able to take part.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
