Important Information to Share
Parent Consultation Evenings Parent Consultation evenings are on Wednesday 26th March 5.00 - 7.00pm and Thursday 27th March 3.30 - 5.30pm. The booking system will open on the website week beginning 17th March. New MIS System As previously advised, we will be switching over to a new management information system over the next week. Further information will be sent to you once we know how best to provide access. In the meantime, please ensure we are kept up to date with telephone numbers and email addresses etc. Whole School Food Policy Parents are welcome to join Miss Cross at 2.20pm on Friday 14th March to find out about our Whole School Food Policy that has been developed in conjunction with children and parents. If you would like to join, please let us know in advance and Miss Cross will look forward to seeing you then. The draft policy is now available on the website here for you to look at prior to the meeting.
Easter Service Please be aware that our Easter Service including our traditional Easter Bonnet Parade will be held on Thursday 3rd April at 8.45am at the Church. Get your creative thinking caps on to create a beautiful bonnet for your child to wear to the service. Children should be dropped off at Church from 8.40am where they will be met by staff (no earlier please). Families are welcome to join us. Please park in the car park. If you are not staying for the service, please drop your child and carry on along the lane to prevent traffic disruption by turning round. Red Nose Day - Comic Relief - Friday 21st March We will be supporting this day by inviting children to "wear something red" in return for a donation of £1 for this worthwhile cause. Spelling in School
Please see the link below following the spelling workshop Mrs Robinson led before half term.
New Minibus
We recently applied for a grant to purchase another minibus for the schools and were successful!!. This will reduce costs for trips where we are able to use both minibuses and enable us to get out more often into the local area. Children have been very excited to see it at school.
Spring is coming!
It is lovely to see the weather getting a little warmer but we want to remind everyone that children still need to have a coat in school just in case. As the weather gets warmer, we encourage parents to put sunscreen on children before coming to school. In extremely warm weather, we are happy for named sunscreen to be sent into school and handed to the class teacher. Where possible, please ensure this is a roll on applicator for ease and safety.
School grounds help
We are looking to start growing some seeds in the 'boat' in the grounds of the school so children can see the plants growing, hopefully into fruit and vegetables that they can eat. We would really appreciate some parent help to dig over, and weed the soil in the boat please. If anyone is able to offer some time please could you let the office know. We also have a bird house which needs taking down from a tree, if anyone has a tallish ladder and willing to do this that would also be really helpful please. Thank you for your support.
Attendance
For information the Attendance in Suffolk primary schools at the end of February was 94.9%. Attendance at Bentley school is currently 91.65%. It is lovely to see that all children are in school today; hopefully with the better weather on its way, everyone will be healthier and full attendance will continue. Thank you for your support.
Reception children and Forest School Friday
Please note that Reception children will not be going across to Copdock on Friday 14th March or Friday 4th April.

REMINDERS!!!! Lunch and Morning Club payments - Please ensure that all payments are paid weekly as taken - thank you for your support |
Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
