Bentley Weekly Update 18/10/2024

Important Information to Share

Application for a secondary school place- just a reminder to those Yr 6 parents who have not yet applied for a secondary school place for your child that you must apply by the closing date of Thursday 31 October 2024

Uniform Order - We are placing a uniform order before half term.  Please see the order form attached.  Please complete this and send in to the office by Wednesday 23rd October.  Payment can be made online or via cash or cheque in a named envelope to the office.  Forms and payments must be received by 1pm on Wednesday to ensure your order is included.

Amen Shoebox Appeal - we will be supporting the shoebox appeal alongside the church once again this year, linking this to our value of generosity with the children.  Leaflets are available in school if you wish to complete your own box.  However, we also welcome any small gifts from our families so the children can make up boxes with the donations received.  More information about suitable gifts can be found on the attached poster.  The deadline for gifts is half term, allowing time for boxes to be packed and prepared for delivery.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Worship Group is on Monday

Lunchtime Company afternoon tea  - please see some photos taken by Lunchtime company - thank you to all parents who attended.

Following our taster session with Lunchtime Co, we would be keen to hear your views. Please complete the questionnaire attached, or sent home with your child and return to school before half term.
We are keen to increase the uptake of school meals as this allows us to offer healthy balanced meals for all of our children without school having to significantly subsidise the costs of this provision. Your views really help us to shape what can be offered. Thank you.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
