Pudsey.JPGInformation to Share

Children in Need - thank you for your coin donations, we covered Pudsey and are still counting.....

School Photos - we have been advised by Bentley Photographic that the children's individual photographs are now available to view via their website.  Please take a look at the poster attached for details on how to order your copies.

Admissions - if you have a child that was born between 1 September 2020-31 August 2021 you must apply for a full time reception year school place by 15 January 2025. See attached poster

Christmas Dates - further to the dates shared for performances and Christmas lunch, please note that we will be holding our annual decoration making followed by the tree service on Friday 29th November.  Decoration making will start at 1:30pm and the tree service at 2:30pm.

Christmas Lunch Pre-Order - Christmas lunch will be held this year on Wednesday 11th December.  These must be pre-ordered via the survey on the website by 4pm on Friday 22nd November.  If you miss the deadline you will need to provide a packed lunch on the day as nothing else from the usual menu will be available to order on the day.  The cost of Christmas dinner for KS2 children is £2.80 the same as other meals.  This can be paid in cash in a named envelope to the office, or via the school website.  Those children requiring an allergen menu can respond to the survey in the same way.

PTA Support - as the PTA plan ahead for the Christmas Fayre taking place on Friday 13th December, we will be hosting a Christmas jumper day on Wednesday 11th December in exchange for a bottle for the bottle stall.  During the week commencing Monday 2nd December we will be accepting donations towards the class Christmas hampers.  Each class has a colour theme again this year:  Kittens: Red, Squirrels:Green, Woodpeckers: Yellow and Foxes: Purple.

Dinner Monies - for those pupils who pay for a hot dinner in KS2, please ensure when paying in cash, it is sent in inside a named envelope.  The amount gives itself away but guesswork on the name makes it difficult to reconcile anybody's account.  Whether you pay by cash or via the website, please ensure you keep up with payments.  Once you get to 5 outstanding meals you will be chased for payment and you may have to send in a packed lunch instead if the number increases much beyond that.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.

Those in Woodpeckers who are swimming need to remember their kits on Mondays

Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays

Reception children need to wear their Forest Schools clothing on Fridays

Earrings must be removed for PE lessons

Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

words.PNG

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!

Kittens: back & backwards

Squirrels: flammable & bustling

Woodpeckers: appliance & device

Foxes: arid & fertile
