Information to Share

 
Don't forget - TODAYS PICKUP IS FROM THE VILLAGE HALL not the school.
 
Lost Property - please take a look on the playground at the end of the day on Monday.  These items were not claimed before the summer holidays.  Please take anything that could be made use of.  Anything remaining will be disposed of as we do not have the space to store it indefinitely.  Please remember to label anything sent into school! 
 
Attendance - it has been a very positive start to the term with attendance at an amazing 99%.
 
Healthy Living - the children have had a great couple of days learning about healthy living.  Keep an eye on the website for the photos coming your way shortly.  Thank you for your support with cakes and entry money for MacMillan - we'll announce a total next week.
 
Learners of the Week - please be advised that if you received a notification that your child has gained Star of the Week this week, they will receive their certificate in next week's assembly as our MacMillan event is taking place this afternoon.
 
Brick Festival - we have been notified of an event which may interest you.  The Ipswich Brick Festival is taking place at Inspire Suffolk on Saturday 21st September.  You have an opportunity to win a £50 LEGO gift card.  Simply design a minifigure on the attached sheet and take it along to the event.  For further details or information please see their website here.
 

Heart of Suffolk Big Weekend Prize Draw - taking place on the 19 - 20th October and Babergh and Mid Suffolk residents can register for the chance to win one of over 100 prizes on offer - ranging from spa days to Santa visits, afternoon teas to wine tasting, family day out tickets to theatre and cinema sessions – there is something for everyone!.

 

 

 

REMINDERS!!!!

PE Kit and earrings - please ensure the children are wearing the appropriate PE uniform as per the guidelines on the website.  Please ensure earrings are removed - taping will not be sufficient.  Any child who cannot remove their earrings independently should have then removed at home.  If they are unable to be removed please note they may have to adapt PE lessons to ensure safety.  Please see the website for further details of our PE policy and uniform requirements.
 
Labels - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE label lunchboxes and water bottles.  We have had several left on the trolley every night of term thus far - some of which have no names on them.  Please check the trolley at the end of each day for any lost property.  
 
100 club - Don't forget to sign up before Friday 27th to be entered into the draw. £12 per entry. See link for more info.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
