Information to Share

Governor Request for Parent Views - to enable our schools to assess the effectiveness of its policies and procedures, we would very much appreciate your assistance with the completion of this questionnaire to highlight where further discussion or improvements are needed.  Deadline for completion is FRIDAY 6th DECEMBER.  We thank you in advance for your co-operation. https://forms.office.com/e/drvnRtuQ9s

Governors would like to thank Head Pupils and School Councillors for their support during our recent open events.  They were confident in fulfilling their responsibilities during these visits, sharing information about our school with great pride.

Children in Need - the total raised for Children in Need last week was £120.12 - thank you for your kind donations.

Christmas Lunch - don't forget to complete the form on the website by 4pm today.  If you do not respond to the questionnaire, you WILL need to send a packed lunch on the day.  This is a pre-order meal and none of the regular menu options will be available on the day.  We have only had 29 responses so far!

Dinner Options - following the feedback from the Lunchtime Co parent questionnaires, the kitchen will be supplying pasta as an option from the salad table on a daily basis, and also offering sliced chicken as a sandwich filling.  These will be on offer daily from Monday 25th November.

The kitchen apologises for the difficulties with serving hot meals at the end of this week.  They are hopeful that the gas issues they have experienced will be resolved by Monday.  In the meantime they have been able to offer sandwiches or jacket potatoes.

Decoration Making/Tree Service - next Friday at 1:30pm parents are welcome to come into school to make decorations with their children.  These will then be used to decorate our school.  Once completed we will be hosting our annual Tree Service at 2:30pm for parents to attend.  We look forward to welcoming you.  Next week's sharers will be incorporated in the Tree Service.

KS1 After School Club - there are still places on the KS1 ITFC after school club running on Tuesdays this half term.  The theme is games, the club takes place in the hall from 3:15pm until 4:15pm, there is no charge for this club at present.  If your child would like to participate please contact the office.

KS1 Request - children in KS1 are asked if they could please bring in some cardboard boxes of any size.  These can be taken into class next week.  Thank you in advance.

Forest Schools - reception children will not be taking part in Forest Schools next Friday (29th) as the decoration making and tree service will be taking place.  Therefore please send them in wearing their smart uniform.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.

Those in Woodpeckers who are swimming need to remember their kits on Mondays

Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays

Reception children need to wear their Forest Schools clothing on Fridays

Earrings must be removed for PE lessons

Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
