Copdock Weekly Update 25/10/2024
Information to ShareDinners - don't forget the new menu comes into play when the children return after half term - please see the attached menu. The cost of a KS2 meal will also be increased to £2.80 - please ensure any meals taken prior to half term are paid for by the end of the day. The new cost will be effective from when we return.
Menu Change - there is a special menu on offer on the first day back after half term to mark Bonfire Night. Please see the poster attached. Therefore the new menu does not start until the Wednesday.
Photographs - on the first Friday after half term we have Bentley Photographic coming into school to take individual photos of the children. Please ensure they come into school in smart uniform - they must wear a cardigan or jumper. Make sure they remember to bring their smiles too! Can Reception children please bring their Forest Schools clothing and footwear into school to change into after their photos have been taken.
Shared Learning - prior to the shared learning session we will be hosting a coffee & chat on the theme of handwriting at 2pm on Friday 8th November. Parents are encouraged to attend - no booking necessary but it would be helpful to have an idea of numbers. We will then be holding our first shared learning of the year on the first Friday back from half term. Parents are welcome to come into class to see what has been taking place in the classroom from 2:45pm, anyone with more than one child can come in from 2:30pm to enable them time to get around the classrooms.
Kittens Cake Sale - please support the first cake sale of the year. Kittens' parents are invited to bring cakes in at the start of the day. Everyone is able to purchase cakes from the playgound (weather permitting) at the end of the day.
After School Clubs - we will be offering KS1 Games on Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm from 5th November to 10th December - places are limited so please book a place via the office. There is no charge for this club. Lego Club continuing - please see attached letter. KS2 Christmas Cake Club has now been closed for entries - please ensure monies are paid prior to half term.
Parent Consultations - we will be holding parent consultations on Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th November. Slots will be available to book from lunchtime on the PD day, they will close on Monday 11th at noon. If you have not booked a slot by this time please contact the office. Slots are set at 10 minutes, we do ask that everyone sticks to the time as best they can - should you feel you require more time, please make contact with the office. Please log onto the website to book your slot. Where possible, we ask that only one slot is booked per child as there are limited slots available.
Royal British Legion - poppies and other items will be available for sale at break and lunchtime after half term. Suggested donations range from 20p-£2. See attached pictures of items available.
Sing Up at RHS - Foxes and Adders children will be attending a vocal day at Royal Hospital school on Wed 13th November resulting in a concert at RHS at 1.45pm. Parents are invited to attend the concert, please contact the office if you would like to attend. If you are able to attend you will be able to take your child home from the venue at 2.15pm.

REMINDERS!!!! Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.
Those in Woodpeckers who are swimming need to remember their kits on Mondays
Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays
Reception children need to wear their Forest Schools clothing on Fridays
Earrings must be removed for PE lessons
Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled. Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.
