Information to Share

The Big Walk and Wheel Week - well done to everyone who has walked or wheeled to school this week.  Keep it up next week too.  Eco club have been keeping a tally each day.  If you live further than walking distance then parking in the village and walking the final bit means are you eligible!  Please see attached poster.

Dinner Monies - as we approach the end of another term, please ensure all meals are paid for.  If you are unsure how many you owe for, please ask.

Medication - please ensure an adult comes to collect from site next Friday as all medication will be sent home for the holidays.  Please ensure only current, in-date medication is returned in the summer term.  We should not be holding medication unless it is required.

Cross Country - final confirmation email with details has been sent to parents/carers of children attending this event this week. 

Easter Service - parents and families are invited to join us for our Easter Service to be held in the school hall this year on Thursday at 2:30pm.  Please ensure the children bring their bonnets into school that morning ready for the parade.

PTA Foxes Cake Sale - please can all donations from Foxes class for the cake sale, be brought in on Friday morning.  Please ensure everyone brings some cash at collection time to be able to purchase a cake from the playground.

Red Nose Day - we raised £72 for last week's Red Nose Day.  Thank you to those who contributed to this cause.

Lunchtime Co Colouring Competition - don't forget the deadline for the design and colouring competition is Monday!

Easter Egg Trail - children at school have decorated a giant Easter Egg which is going to be part of an Easter Trail at Alton Water.  Their flyer is attached.  The trail is free of charge so put a spring in your step and hop along to the Watersports Centre for your trail sheet!  More information can be found on their website: https://anglianwaterparks.co.uk/event/alton-easter-egg-hunt 

Holiday Clubs - please check our local clubs and events page on the website for things going on in the community over the holidays.

Summer Term - next week's newsletter will contain a list of dates for the upcoming summer term along with the new menu to start when we return after the Easter break.  

 

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.
Those Swimming need their kits on Mondays.
Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays.
Reception children need to wear Forest Schools clothing on Fridays and bring welly boots.
Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.
Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.
Playground sales - we still have lots of seeds on sale for 50p per pack.  We are also looking for donations for any of the books on the trolley.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
