Wolves week beginning 26/4/21
Date: 23rd Apr 2021 @ 3:59pm
I have made a discussion about Australian animals which your child can find when they login to the website. Please help them to record a fact to share with the class over this week, to get a brain sticker.
This week our learning behaviour is tune in and concentrate.
Vocabulary: climate, diverse Y1&2, heaviest, narrow Reception.
This week we will be looking at the lifecycle of a kangaroo and koala. We will be finding out about the weather and climate (average weather ad temperature over time) of different territories in Australia, and in the north, south, east and west of the country. Some of the children may want to use a compass to look at these directions at home. In Art we will be drawing a kangaroo this week, and in PSHE we will be looking at warning signs on bottle such as bleach, so you might want to reinforce this at home by looking at the bottles you have locked away.
In maths we will be looking at counting in 2's, 5's and 10's and continuing to practise our pairs of numbers that make 10, it's really important they can recall these quickly. Use https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button to practise and their ttrockstars login. https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth/school/student/31830
I have updated their Spelling Shed with games they can play connected to the spellings we are doing this half term. https://www.edshed.com/en-gb/login
In Literacy we will be continuing writing their modelled Wombat goes Walkabout story and then planning their own.
Let's hope the sunshine continues!
