Woodpeckers Monday 22nd June

Date: 18th Jun 2020 @ 8:04pm

Good morning Woodpeckers smiley

We hope you all had a lovely weekend.

It is National Sports Week, we would love you get involved and complete a physical activity each day then post your photos, videos or comments on the National Sports Week discussion page.

This weeks new theme is, 'Around the World'. You will be learning about rivers, the environment, cultural dancing, famous landmarks and engineering around the world.                                                                                               In maths we are learning about statistics over the next couple of weeks. In writing, we will be focusing on Talk4Writing Unit, 'The Stone Trolls'.

Spellings for the week:

Mrs Handscombe's group focus - words with the spelling 'a', pronounced /o/, after w and qu.

want, watch, wander, warm, wall, quad, wasps, quack, quantity, squash

Mrs North's group focus - Challenge words.

accidentally, breathe, century, consider, eight, guard, heard, peculiar, possible, quarter

We will look forward to seeing your learning, in particular some of your artwork or spaghetti bridges on the weekly discussion. Here is a natural art sculpture in the style of Andy Goldsworthy that I created at home which was great fun.

Have a lovely week Woodpeckers and take care.

Mrs North and Mrs Collins smiley
