Information to ShareDinners - please ensure all KS2 school dinners taken are paid for before half term. There will be a price increase from 5th November along with the new menu as per last week's newsletter.
Dinner Questionnaire - following our taster session with Lunchtime Co, we would be keen to hear your views. Please complete the questionnaire attached OR sent home with your child and return to school before half term. We are keen to increase the uptake of school meals as this allows us to offer healthy balanced meals for all of our children without school having to significantly subsidise the costs of this provision. Your views really help us to shape what can be offered. Thank you.
Reception Photo - don't forget that our reception class will be appearing in the First Class Supplement in today's local newspaper.
PTA AGM - why not pop along on Monday evening to the PTA AGM. Our PTA do a lot of great work to support the children of this school. Why not see how you can get involved, after all, many hands make light work. The AGM will be held in the school hall starting at 8pm.
Woodpeckers Parents - as per the email sent last week, we will be hosting a Healthy Living event from 2pm followed by the Woodpeckers Class Assembly at 2:45pm. Please let us know by the end of today if you wish to attend the event.
Hallowe'en Disco - the PTA have organised a disco after school at the Village Hall next Friday. Pupils are invited to come into school dressed down for the day in exchange for hamper donations. If costumes are being worn, please ensure they are suitable for a day of learning and potentially damp playtimes. Anything the children bring into school, they will need to be able to carry to the Village Hall if they are attending the disco. 👻 Grab your tickets now for just £4! 👻 Please see the attached information from the PTA with regards to the disco and details of the donation you can make in return for the dress down event. There are also some dates for your diaries of upcoming events.
KS2 Christmas Cake Club - the deadline to be part of this year's Christmas Cake Club is today. If your child would like to take part please let the office know now. Spaces are limited. If you are able to support the club with a little of your time, please let us know - we do rely upon parental support for this particular club to run.
Uniform - if you would like to order any uniform, please complete the form attached. Payment must be received with the order. If you are paying via the website, please ensure you also submit the form. There is a tight deadline of 1pm Wednesday 23rd October - please ensure orders and payments are received by lunchtime on Wednesday.
PGL - on Wednesday Foxes class will be making their way to Bawdsey for their residential trip. Please ensure they bring everything with them in the morning. We are expecting them to return prior to the end of the school day on Friday. Please ensure they are collected from the school site on this occasion.

REMINDERS!!!! As the weather has turned more autumnal, please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.
Those in Woodpeckers who are swimming need to remember their kits on Mondays
Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays
Reception children need to wear their Forest Schools clothing on Fridays
Earrings must be removed for PE lessons
Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled. Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
